Pueblo weather radar updates set to begin Wednesday morning

Technicians are expected to begin refurbishment work on the National Weather Service’s Pueblo radar site Wednesday morning to replace original breakers and cables with new, modern fuses and cables.

The nation’s weather radar network is undergoing a series of upgrades and replacements intended to extend the useful life of sites for another decade or more.

Prairie Pines raffle returns for the second year - $5,000 grand prize

For the second consecutive year, Prairie Pine Assisted Living Center in Eads will be holding a raffle, with proceeds going toward facility improvements and repairs.

Top prizes from the $25 tickets are $5,000, $2,500, and $1,500, with additional prizes also up for grabs. The drawing will be held November 23, 2018. Winners will not need to be present at the drawing.

Last year, Richard Glover was the grand prize winner, receiving over $5,800. A full list of winners is available here.
