Eads Municipal Election 

April 5, 2016 

The Eads Municipal Election will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2016.  Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.  

There are Trustee positions and the Mayor position open this election.  

Nomination petitions can be picked up February 16, 2016 at City Hall, 110 W. 13^th St., and have to be returned to City Hall by 5:00 p.m. Friday March 4, 2016.  

• Will my Trees Make it Workshop Tuesday, February 16th, 2016 Cheyenne County Fairgrounds, Community Building 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM Or Kit Carson Fire Station 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Registration/RSVP no later than Friday, February 12, 2016: 10-person minimum attendance for workshops. Cost:  5.00/Person  (Checks or cash payable at the door to the Colorado State Forest Service) 
• Plainview School Thurs Feb 11-6-9 pm PCC Family Sock Hop & Bake Off. $5 entry fee /item for the Bake Off. Wear your crazy socks!!

      How about that Bronco game on Sunday?  They came to play didn't they?  Their defense was amazing and the whole team stepped up whenever they needed to.  They kept Brady off balance most of the game.  Looking forward to the Super Bowl - GO BRONCOS!!

     Last Saturday, Layton Hopkins and the boys from his class at school celebrated his 7th birthday at the Bowling Alley in Tribune. Happy Birthday Layton!

Strasburg Tournament

Results from the Strasburg Tournament are as follows:

145 pounds – Seth Splitter won by pin over Nathan Foos from Burlington in 1:13; won by pin over Patrick Roth from Byers in 1:05; won by pin over Dylan Holeman from Merino in 1:47; and lost by decision in overtime to Toby Grinnan from Burlington, 7-9.  Splitter finished the tournament in 2^nd place.
