Ducks, rabbits, Canada geese, squirrels and other animals have been the targets of blow darts recently in the Colorado Springs area. In some cases, the darts injured the animals. But at least one rabbit has died from its injury.

Colorado U.S. Senators Michael Bennet (D) and Cory Gardner (R), with a bicameral group of lawmakers, today urged Amtrak to uphold its side of a longstanding public-private partnership to maintain the Southwest Chief passenger train and long-distance passenger service. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) will begin accepting disaster assistance program applications on June 4 from agricultural producers who suffered livestock, honeybees, farm-raised fish and other losses due to natural disasters.
